Wawa is a chain of convenience stores known for amazing food and drinks. What began as a dairy farm and outlet for dairy products in 1964. Over fifty years, Wawa has opened stores selling items such as food and drink in locations across the East Coast of the United States. The name Wawa is the Native American word for the Canadian Goose, and this bird is found as their company logo. About the Menu

Wawa offers a wide range of products, alongside many stores which also act as gas stations. All Wawa orders are built to order in the store and are made ready to go.

Breakfast

The Wawa menu offers breakfast food (ranging in price from $0.95 for a bagel to $4.39 for a Hoagie Shortie).

The Sizzli Breakfast Sandwiches (starting from $2.69) are very popular on the Wawa menu. These are made up of different ingredients, such as Sausage, Egg & Cheese - Applewood Smoked Bacon, Egg & Cheese - Turkey Sausage, Egg White, & Cheese - and much more.

You can also enjoy a side serving of bagels, croissants, or biscuits with your sandwich.

Applewood Smoked Bacon and Cheese Sizzlis are also on offer, as the Turkey Sausage, Egg White, and Cheese Sizzli. All Sizzli sandwiches are currently priced at $2.69 but this is subject to change over time and based on location.

Breakfast Burritos are also available for around $3. Wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, these burritos are made up of scrambled eggs, fresh salsa, and a cheese of your choice. You can enjoy a breakfast burrito in delicious varieties like Sausage, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheesesteak, and Veggie. Wawa also offers 6-inch Hoagies at $4.39 and 10 inch Hoagies at $5.59. Hoagies can be hot or cold, and can be Cheesesteak, Tuna Salad, or even Hot Turkey With Gravy, but there are many more fillings to choose from.

Sides

Wawa convenience stores also offer Sides, such as Mac And Cheese, costing between $3 and $8, depending on whether you order a Small or Family Size. Salad Bowls, like the Garden Salad, are all currently priced at $5. If you want something fresh and healthy, the fresh blend of mixed greens, carrots, romaine lettuce, red onions, grape tomatoes, croutons, sliced cucumbers, and feta cheese in the garden salad are perfect. This also comes with a bottle of Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are also available at Wawa, with fillings such as Beef And Cheese or Buffalo Chicken And Cheese, which are all currently priced at $4.89. And, because all of Wawa’s quesadillas are made to order, you can be as creative as you like and order whatever you’re in the mood for, such as peppers, onions, and sour cream.

Heat and Eat

Wawa also sells microwave “Heat and Eat” meals for home cooking, such as the Penne Pasta and Meatballs or the Country Chicken Meal for about $7. Soups as a Side or a Hot Meal, like the Chicken Noodle Soup, cost $3. Altogether, there are six Heat and Eat varieties, including the incredible penne chicken Alfredo with broccoli, the sumptuous chicken and broccoli, the classic chicken breast and spicy boneless wings, and the popular mac and cheese with barbecue pulled pork.

Drinks and Desserts

You’ll obviously need a drink with your food and a dessert to finish off your treat!

A Frozen Cappuccino from Wawa costs about $3 for a 12oz cup. Hot Lattes, Hot Chocolate, and Milkshakes all also cost $3 from the chain. A simple Wawa Coffee will cost $1.45 for 16oz, or $1.65 for a 24oz cup. Wawa also offers Apple Juice for $1.79 per quart. And, you can treat yourself to a Glazed Donut or a Chocolate Chip Muffin for a few bucks.

Wawa Menu Nutrition Facts And Dietary Needs

Wawa is committed to providing balanced food and nutrition, and meeting all dietary needs and requirements. The calories in food found on the Wawa menu is not very high. For example, the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Bagel contains 430 calories. It would take 30 minutes of swimming or running to burn off this many calories. The Wawa Breakfast Burrito is 290 calories, and this is the same amount of calories as 2000g of celery. Quesadillas from Wawa are worth around 600 calories. It would take around an hour of cycling or playing basketball to burn off a Quesadilla from Wawa.

In terms of allergens, the Wawa menu is full of potential allergens. Egg and Milk are used in many products, such as the Sizzli range of breakfast foods, the extensive bakery goods such as Muffins and Donuts. These products also contain soy and wheat, which are also allergens.

Many of the soups and sides on the Wawa menu contain soy, for example the Chicken Noodle Soup. Certain items also contain peanuts, but these will be labeled as such. Items like the Chicken Caesar Wrap and Chicken Caesar Salad, contain fish. Select items, such as the Wawa Everything Bagel, contain sesame seeds. No items on the Wawa menu contain shellfish. All Milkshakes and Coffee products contain dairy. There are dairy alternatives, such as the Vanilla Almond Milk, which contains tree nuts.

Wawa also offers a variety of food and drink for dietary alternatives. There are many vegan and plant-based versions of typical products available, including a Roasted Veggie Breakfast Burrito with roasted vegetables and salsa for 440 calories. Many of the salads are meat-free at Wawa, but Quinoa Bowls are also available. There is an extensive list of gluten-free products available, such as breads, cheeses, and Breakfast Meals and Salads.

The Wawa menu offers low sodium ingredients, such as the Junior Beef Hoagie with only 520 mg of salt. All dietary needs and restrictions should be made aware of in-store.

Wawa Convenience Stores Locations

Wawa stores are currently located across the US East Coast. There are around a thousand stores found throughout the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware, and also in Washington D.C. New Jersey has the highest number of Wawa stores, with a total of 277 in the state, and Pennsylvania the second highest at 247.

There are also plans to open more Wawa convenience stores in all of these states in the near future. However, it is unfortunate that there are currently no plans for Wawa to open stores in other areas of the United States.
