El Pollo Loco was first established in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico in 1974, before expanding into the United States in 1980. From then on, their marinated chicken recipe and Mexican-inspired dishes have been a hit, and the US chain of El Pollo Loco has expanded to nearly 500 stores across 6 states. As you may expect, there is a wide range of Chicken Meals including breast and wing then leg and thigh either in two or three piece meals or combo meals. For a family, you can get great value from a Family Chicken Meal. Either choose from Leg & Thigh or Mixed, and then try to work out just how many chicken pieces you need for the family. This ranges from eight pieces as a feast or meal, to 12, and even a whopping 16. Prices are around $31.99 for 12 pieces with a leg and thigh to over $39.00 as Mixed.

Fire-Grilled Combos

There are four Fire-Grilled Combos to choose from including Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Combo, currently priced at $5.00. This comes with tender shredded chicken inside a warm flour tortilla, alongside a mild roasted tomato salsa, diced onion, melted cheese, and cilantro.

Maybe you’d prefer the Original Pollo Bowl Combo for around $7.00. This classic comes with chopped chicken, rice, diced onion, pinto beans, cilantro, and pico de gallo salsa to take your breath away.

Traditional Mexican Items

Fancy something truly Mexican? El Pollo Loco has you covered with their chicken dishes. At this restaurant chain, you’ll soon see that chicken can be served in so many ways. You could go for Shredded Chicken Nachos (À La Carte) for under $10.00. Mex cuisine boasts a citrusy fire with its hand-prepared chicken.

The Street Tacos are designed to feed one, such as the Chicken Avocado Taco at under $4.00 and the Chicken Taco Al Carbon for under $3.00, which is made with two corn tortillas, chopped fire-grilled thigh meat that is marinated in citrus juice, alongside diced onion, and cilantro.
